Ingredients:
1 ½ Cups |
Sugar |
1 Cup |
Milk |
½ Cup |
Shortening |
3 Cups |
Flour |
2 |
Eggs |
4 tsp. |
Baking Powder |
1 tsp. |
Salt |
Directions:
- Make a struesel by melting 2 Tbsp. Butter and then adding ½ Cup Packed Brown Sugar, 2 Tbsp. Flour, 2 tsp. Cinnamon and ½ Cup Chopped Nuts. Mix well and set aside.
- Thoroughly mix sugar, shortening and eggs.
- Stir in milk.
- Add dry ingredients and mix well.
- Pour ½ the batter into a greased and floured 9″ x 13″ pan.
- Sprinkle with ½ the struesel, then add the other ½ of the batter and the other ½ of the struesel.
Bake at 350° for approximately 20 minutes or until a toothpick stuck in the center comes out clean and crust is golden brown.
