Chile Relleno Puff

This recipe comes from “Tea Time” Restaurant

Ingredients:

Lots of 

Whole Green Chiles 

5  

Eggs 

Some 

Monterrey Jack Cheese 

2.3 Cup 

Milk 

Some  

Cheddar Cheese 

6 Tbsp. 

Flour 

   

¾ tsp. 

Baking Powder 

Directions:

  1. Rinse chiles and pat dry with paper towel.
  2. Slit lengthwise and remove seeds.
  3. Cut Monterrey Jack cheese strips and place inside each chile.
  4. Place stuffed chiles side by side in an 8″ baking dish.
  5. Beat eggs until foamy. Beat in milk, flour and baking powder until smooth. Pour over chiles, moistening all surfaces.
  6. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over top.
  7. Bake uncovered at 350° for 40 minutes or until set in middle.

Remove from oven. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with Salsa.
