|2 Cups||Flour||½ tsp.||Cream of Tartar|
|½ tsp.||Salt||2 tsp.||Sugar|
|4 tsp.||Baking Powder||½ Cup||Shortening|
- Mix together the flour, salt, baking powder, cream of tartar and sugar.
- Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add milk all at once and stir just until dough follows fork around bowl.
- Pat or roll to ½” thickness on lightly floured surface.
Cut out and bake on ungreased baking sheet at 450° for 10 minutes.
Makes about 9 biscuits.
