Ingredients:
2 Cups | Flour | ½ tsp. | Cream of Tartar |
½ tsp. | Salt | 2 tsp. | Sugar |
4 tsp. | Baking Powder | ½ Cup | Shortening |
2/3 Cup | Milk |
Directions:
- Mix together the flour, salt, baking powder, cream of tartar and sugar.
- Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add milk all at once and stir just until dough follows fork around bowl.
- Pat or roll to ½” thickness on lightly floured surface.
Cut out and bake on ungreased baking sheet at 450° for 10 minutes.
Makes about 9 biscuits.
